In this class, we’ll cover:

• stationery and paper choices

• personal letters (formatting, salutations, closing, etc.)

• how to type on envelopes, postcards, and other types of paper

This class covers typewriter basics, including:

• the parts of a typewriter, what they do, and what they’re called (what the heck is a “platen”?)

• correct typing technique and posture (what is a “staccato touch”?)

• shortcuts and formatting options (what do all these buttons do and what does “mar rel” mean?)

This class also covers further topics of typewriter use, including:

• basic care and cleaning

• changing the ribbon

• dealing with sticky keys

• knowing when to consult a professional
